Hi! I’m stuck with my
XFree86 4.4.0. Everything seems to work for a while but after a couple of
minutes the screen hangs. I have looked around for an answer but with no
result. I’m running FreeBSD 5.2.1 on i386. The XFree86 was installed from
source and the WM is Fluxbox. I start up X using xdm and with fluxbox set as
the session. When the screen freezes after some time the mouse cursor is still
able to move around. When trying to kill the XServer using Ctrl + Alt +
Backspace nothing happens. If I cut the power to be able to reboot, the XF86Config
file content is erased leaving a blank file. At the point when the screen hangs
I can still use SSH to connect to the computer. Sincerely Peter -------------------------------------------
