Try using the vesa driver and see if that works better.

Subject: problem

Hey my anme is Aron Katz, I have never really had any problems with the
X WIndows system until now. I'll try to supply the information that you
need to be able to help me. I have attached the following files as
inclidate along with the other infomration.

XFree86 Version: 4.3.0
OS Version : Red Hat 2.4.20
Video Hardware: Redition Verite 2200

Overall, the X WIndow system won't initiate at all, it first said it
couldn't do 24 bit depth, so I changed it. Then after that it still
wouldn't startup, I am not sure what to think. If you can help me out
here tha t would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Aron Katz
