hi, well i have installed XFree4.4 i use slackware, but i have a strange behavior with fonts ! With Xfree4.3 i don't have any problems at this type ! Error : FreeType : couldn't find encoding 'viscii1.1-1' for '/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype/verdana.ttf i have encoding here: kron@r0xtech ~ $ ls /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype/ | grep viscii viscii1.1-1.enc viscii1.1-1.enc.gz kron@r0xtech ~ $ And here : 0 kron@r0xtech ~ $ ls /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/encodings/ | grep viscii viscii1.1-1.enc viscii1.1-1.enc.gz 0 kron@r0xtech ~ $ Well and this one: aterm : can't load font "-xos4-terminus-medium-r-normal--14-140-72-72-c-80-iso8859-15" with xfree4.3 i don't have any problem with font in aterm with xfree4.4 i can't load it !
