I've got a 9600 chipset running 2 monitors in xinerama. I tried the fglrx driver and couldn't get it to do what I wanted. The radeo driver in 4.4 works really well now. I don't know about 3d though as I don't do any gaming on this machine.

hi,

i would have liked to know the difference between XFree radeon driver and ATI's own proprietary driver, i suppose 3D acceleration can only be found in the latter, but i may be wrong.
Thanx in advance for the answer ;-)
