[BUG] Suspend to disk support for i810 driver

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi, when using swsusp 2.0.66 from swsusp.sf.net, with kernel 2.6.5 and
an i810 card, I have almost everything working: I can suspend from X
running, I get Xv acceleration working, but there are two issues
remaining:

1. Performance is slower when getting back from suspend from a running X
server as measured from xmame (sorry for the somewhat not serious
test :)), but stoppping and restarting the X server works.

2. OpenGL is locked, in the sense that glxgears hangs up. Again,
restarting X solves the issue.

I asked about the latter on the -devel mailing list of swsusp, and one
of the developers told me:

"You'll need to bug the X driver developers to POST your card at VT
switch, just as the Radeon driver currently does."

so here I am.

thanks for attention

Vincenzo
