I have the following hardware:
Cornerstone Color 21/76 (fixed frequency monitor) Resolution: 1600x1280 Hsync: 102 kHz Vsync: 76 Hz DotClock: 217 MHz
Cornerstone ImageAccel 4 (aka ATI 3D Rage Pro Turbo [215GP])
max. DACSpeed: 250 MHz
Video bios has been change into fixed frequency mode to support the monitor above!
My problem is very simple. The xserver driver module for ati devices detects a wrong DACspeed! The maximum clock is only 199.00 MHz! Now I have tried to change this limit with the option DACSpeed 250 in XF86config-4 but this takes no effect. BTW, the framebuffer works very fine at 1600x1280@76Hz.
So what can I do fix this problem. I search allready the internet and there are some people with the same problem but there is no solution.
