Hello,
I have installed nVidia Geforce FX
5200 video controler card and with the Red Hat
Linux 9, the X server is not working so I can only work with a clasic
UNIX like terminal.
At the boot time the Xconfig utility can't
configure the X server and it ends with the following
messages:
Fatal server
error:
Caught signal 11. Server
aborting
XFree 86 version 4.3.0 ( Red Hat Linux 9
release: 4.3.0 - 2.40.55 )
X Protocol version 11 Revision 0 Release

OS Kernel: linux version 2.4.20 -

I looked at Red Hat hardware compatibility
information site and this video card does not appear so may be I have
to dawnload the software driver via FTP.
I will appreciate your advice for a
solution.
