I am having oodels of problems trying to install and load the nvidia driver for my geforce2 mmx200 card. I have Mdk 9.2 installed on an anthlon machine.
I have tried literally every way I found through searches on the web and I get ¨screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration¨, and it unloads the nvidia driver and dumps me out. This even though the nvidia install seems to be working fine.
I note that Mandrake uses a different font server than the XFree standard one ¨as default¨. I wonder if that is not the problem.
I tried to install the latest XFree86, but it only gave me three screens and a clock after startx, and I couldn´t get to my gnome desktop.
Any ideas where I might go from here?
