I had X running, but I couldn't get the resolutions right for both video cards (dual-head setup).
I upgraded from XFree86 4.3 to 4.4, installing the binaries for my system, and carefully followed instructions. Now I have the resolutions close to where I want them, but my "nice" desktops disappeared. All I have is a basic desktop with what appears to be 2 terminal windows open and a very rudimentary clock. What was lost?
