Does i855GM work now?

Is the i810 driver fully taking care of all i855 issues now, like the 
memory allocation and displaying 1400x1050? I guess it would take a 
while to get around testing it myself since probably knoppix won't touch 
the 4.4 release due to the licensing. Yeah, I could test the binaries 
myself, but I need my laptop operational. So, have anyboy tested? :)
