My newly purchased Sony Vaio PCG-TR3A has a 1280 by 768 LCD. When I installed Fedora Core 1, I told it I had a Generic 1024x768 display since it was the closest match. It works fine at 1024x768, 800x600, and 640x480. I've added a mode section for 1280x768, but it doesn't seem to work (in /etc/X11/XF86Config). The XFree86.0.log file does not seem to recognize that those lines even exist. It does, however, log that mode 1280x768 doesn't exist.
