No GUI

Hi

I hope you can help.
I have installed my red hat 9 twice already.
Previously my computer has a Redhat 7.0 and the X
window is working fine. My video card is SIS 620 and
have selected it during the install. Also I have
followed the probe that I have an LG studioworks
monitor and also followed the recommended display size
by the OS.

The first install was an upgrade and it to has the
same problem whenever i type the startx as a root or
ordinary user.

And I re-installed it as a new install, suspecting it
was just a problem on the upgrade. And i type startx
and still the same problem.

I have been trying my best to know the reason why. I
am still a newbie. I shifted to 9 cause i find it hard
to understand 7. Now i dont have a GUI.

Also this is my partition
/ 6000mb
/boot 300mb
/usr 11000+mb
/var 1028mb
/home 1028mb
/swap 220mb

my video card is built in, and shares 4mb out of my
128mb memory. thats why i did not set the swap to
twice the size of my SDRAM.

I am also trying my best to help myself, but surely
your help will be appreciated very much.

I have just learned how to mount a DOS floppy and
sending this email from Windows enviro

Thank you very much in advance

below is the message in my XFree86.0.log
