Hi ! First, excuse me if my english is not very good ... so i've bought a new laptop based on a i855 graphical card. Due to problems with my bios etc ... i have to use the vesa driver to have a X. The problem is that i can use vesa only in 1024*768*8 ... i explain : if i choose for example a 16 bits configuration in my XF86Config something strange happen : X starts, but only the top of the screen is visible. The bottom is here but it is blured (not visible at all). Does anyone have an idea please ? For information, i'm on debian sid, using xfree 4.3.0-1 provided by Debian.
