hi,
I have 4 os in my Intel p4 pc,two are windows and two others are lindows and slack 9.1,I installed the slackware from my h/d,but the problem is,it can't start in the graphical mode, when I am trying the command "startx" there are error messages:
EE:open APM failed(/dem/apm/_bios)(no such device).
EE:Screens found,but none have a usable configuration.
EE:VESA(0)No matching mode.
Fatal sever error: no screens found.
insmode/lib/modules/2.4.22/kernel/drivers/video/Intel/intelfb.ogz failed.
intelfb:frame buffer driver for inlet(R)830M/845GM/655GM/865G chipset.
Then I tried to configure the XF86Config in /etc/X11 with"./XF86Config"but there are a lot error messages with a long list of not founds, bellow are few of them:
 ./XF86Config:line 388:endsection command not found.
./XF86Config:line 397:section command not found.
 ./XF86Config:line 398:identifier command not found.
shortly there is a list of names with a line number and then command not found, like"Driver,Device,Manitor, default depth, depth, modes, screen and inputdevice" all are not found.
please pay attention to me and guide me for the solution of this problem.
  thanks
  shams
