Hi all,

my name is Linus van Geuns, im from Karlsruhe, Germany... to all of you interested in that detail ;-).

I had to create a 'Modeline' in my 'XF86Config-4'-file to get a resolution of 1152x864x80Hz on my screen (best to use).
But I had to read many links and posts in linux-user-groups to get a tool calculating this modelines and a HOWTO explaining this configuration-options.

In the 'manpages' ('XF86Config-4', 'X', ...) is no explanation of the arguments forming a 'modeline' ore a 'mode multiline-entry' in a configuration file of X-Servers (v4.*).

I think that there should be a link on the 'documentation ressources' of XFree86 v4.* and not only in the ressources of XFree86 v3.3.6 !!!

So please add a link to the 'XFree86 Video Timings HOWTO' (http://www.xfree86.org/3.3.6/VideoModes.html )

Linus.
