Hello Walde,

- normally a normal RedHat9 should work with your S3-Virge card (I suppose it is one)
- what exactly happens when you use 'startx' (I can't see any error in your XFree log)
- try 'XFree86' and tell what happens (normally a gray graphical screen will appear wich you can kill with CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE)
