Edit XF86Config(may have -4 on end). Check the Module section.
If LoadModule "type1" and LoadModule "freetype" are not present, add
them. Next, find "FontPath". It will have "unix:/7100" the value. You
will need to add the appropriate paths. The fonts are usually stored
under /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts. Example from mine that you can edit as
necessary:
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/local/"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/:unscaled"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/:unscaled"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1/"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo/"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/"
