Thanks! Michelle http://gerda.univie.ac.at/freebsd-laptops/index.pl?action=show_laptop_commen t&commentid=113&laptop=218 X now works with 845 chipset with freebsd 845patch patch can be gotten from http://macallan.homeunix.org/stuff/845patch_BSD.tar.gz untar, make, cp 845patch to your path make sure VideoRam setting in your X config (/etc/X11/XF86Config)is at least as much ram as you plan on specifying when you run the patch. I set VideoRam to 65536 in the config (and changed my depth to 24 and res to 1024x768) then ran: 845patch 16384 it set the ram and i started X and had lovely fullscreen and depth 24. :) enjoy :) We spent days tweaking the linux patch for free and netbsd. _______________________________________________ XFree86 mailing list XFree86@xxxxxxxxxxx http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xfree86
