Hello guys! I just had a weird question for you guys. I have Xfree 4.3.0.1 On Debian (testing), running X Window with Gnome2. I am trying my best to get the animated/custom mouse cursors working with no luck. It is driving me nuts. When I installed the 4.3 Xfree, Debian put some cursors in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icons. (redglass,whiteglass, etc). I cannot get them to load ! I have been reading many different websites, editing index.theme and what not with no luck. When I remove /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/cursor.pcf.gz, X wont even boot up -- it complains about missing cursors. That leaves me to believe its not using the new cursor system but the old one instead. But I am sure I am running 4.3.0 because thats what -version says...
Can you guys give me any input??

Install libxcursor-dev or make a symbolic link named "/usr/lib/libXcursor.so" pointing to "/usr/lib/libXcursor.so.1.0.1"
