I've downloaded 4.3.0 and built it according to the documentation. I backed-up my /usr/X11R6 and installed 4.3.0 into a fresh /usr/X11R6. Running "startx" works fine! Good job XFree86 people! However, I've run into a snag. When I try "kdeinit", I'm getting this message: kdeinit: error while loading shared libraries: libXinerama.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Here's what's in /usr/X11R6/lib: noodle:/src/sylpheed-0.9.8a# ls /usr/X11R6/lib/libXinerama* /usr/X11R6/lib/libXinerama.a Is there a config option I missed for building the dynamic Xinerama library? I checked host.def but there doesn't seem to be a related option there. Subsequently, I've got another application that complains about a missing libXua.so. Again, the static library is there (libXua.a) but nothing dynamic. What am I doing wrong?
