hi,
My name is amit sharma, i am IT manager of wificom
middle east we have a software that is to be run on red hat linux 7.3.I am
having a problem with the display of redhat linux 7.3.I have done the
installation in custome mode and the computer starts up in gnome GUI. I can use
the gui but if i switch from gui to cli and try to switch back to gui i get a
blank screen..if i give the startx command from the cli i get the error as
follows
fatal server error. server is already active
for display 0. If this server is no longer running remove /tmp/.X0-lock and
start again. I really dont understand what that means. I m using intell
original 845 board with on board graphic n sound. If there is any problem
with compatibility please guide me how and from where to download a patch for it
