I just tried a different video card with a Chips 65530 and it doesn't work either (same issues). Does anyone know if the Chips driver for XFree86 is broken??

Thanks,
Mark

Subject: Does XFree86 work with Chips 65545?

Hi, I'm new to XFree86 and am trying to get it to work with a Chips & Technology 65545. According to the documentation it should work, but when I do "startx" it just goes to a blank screen. I have to cycle power on my machine to get out of it. Is there anyone out there who's been able to get it to work with this video card that can confirm that it does in fact work?

Any help is much appreciated (I'm getting frustrated).
