-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I think it has something to do with: 451. For drivers that support 'Option "dri"' have the driver request loading the dri module when this option is true. This brings it in to line with how other things are handled. Other drivers that have DRI support need to have the "dri" option added (David Dawes). So I added in my XFree86-4: Identifier "A31 ATI Radeon Mobility 7500" BoardName "Radeon Mobility M7 LW [Radeon Mobility 7500] VendorName "ATI Technologies Inc" Driver "ati" # Driver "radeon" Option "dri" "True" But glxgears is still slow and the kernel-module radeon (from XFree-CVS) still doesn't get loaded. modinfo radeon filename: /lib/modules/2.4.23-rc1/kernel/drivers/char/drm/radeon.o description: "ATI Radeon" author: "Gareth Hughes, Keith Whitwell, others." license: "GPL and additional rights" parm: drm_opts string So what can I do? Sandro PS: I subscribed to the XFree86-Mailing List and got mail till 10. July but then mail stopped and since that I've tried with no result to resubscribe to the mailing list but with no result. Can somebody help/explain? - -- Sandro Weiser <Sandro.Weiser@xxxxxx> Fingerprint: 77E0 7C87 4DB2 6BBB 5419 343C 7995 1C67 25B9 CBF1 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/v40UeZUcZyW5y/ERAvFeAJ9U/y5whBMk4Xgjxc7y/y1+pN2N2ACfRE3J /n8CfVWeVL/uxXhvycLvL9U= =ORUd -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ XFree86 mailing list XFree86@xxxxxxxxxxx http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xfree86
