Your log file says that your gfx Card has 1MB of video ram. And then all modes > 640*480 are skipped because there is not enough mem on your card.
So how much memory do you have on this board. If itÅ not 1MB, XFree86 is not able to detect it correctly, so perhaps you can work that around with an option like the following in the gfx card section of the X config file :
option "VideoRam" "16384"
Check in the man page (man XF86Config) for the option thing,
