[XFree86] Problem with Xserver crashing

Hello,

I am having a major problem with my xserver crashing...

I have just installed a new Linux Mandrake 9.1 (xfree 4) on a virtual PC guest OS running ona winXP host OS. Everything works fine but when I go to configure the graphics card none of the cards form the list actually work :(

My graphics card is an ATI Radeon 9500 Pro. I was able to get it to work on the Virtual Machine program for winxp but Connectix Virtual PC just won't recognise the card.

I have tried to use the following cards from the list:

VMWare virtual graphics card (from the Vendors -> other submenu)
ATI
Radeon
ATI Radeon
ATI Generic
VESA Generic
VGA Generic
S3Trio (Generic) with 4MB (as mentionned in microsoft support for the new VirtualPC product).
ATI Radeon 8500

After trying all of these the installation of Mandrake goes to a black screen where I can't do anything but reboot the virtual pc. This then takes me to a textual login screen where I tried to manually configure the card by running xf86config.

I have attached the error log generated after I call startx for your perusal.

Can you please tell me what the problem is? I have even tried to copy the XF86Config-4 file from the virtual machine program tro the virtual pc program and Linux Mandrake's xserver still won't run!

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank-you,

Henry Gomez
