So I did so. X starts for 1 second :( And i get the following(or something near that) in the log file: ===================================================== AUDIT: Fri Sep 26 16:45:52 2003: 3368 X: client 16 rejected from local host Auth name: XDM-AUTHORIZATION-1 ID: -1 ===================================================== I set the -rws--x--x for that binary. Maybe some SuSE-specific security feature? Any ideas?

I think this happens if you use kdm/xdm with a xfree server compiled from cvs dri (as it lacks xauth). You should be able to disable xauth with xdm (iirc with kdm too), but I really can't remember how - I'll just use console login instead...
