[XFree86] Quitting X never returns me to console.

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi, I finally got XFree86 up and running on my NetBSD box.
Problem is, that when I quit X (Log out of the last xterm)
the Screen disappears, but the monitor never syncs back up.

It appears to be the video card, because turning the monitor off and back on has no effect. The only way I have been able to get the monitor back is by doing a "shutdown -r now".
If there are ideas on how to stop this behavior I'd appreciate it.

XFree86 Ver 4.2.1
NetBSD 1.6.1
i386 (Pentium 586)
ATI Mach 64 pci Video card.

I don't think it is my XFree86 config file, but I'll include a copy here.
Also, since it's not a server crash My XFree86.0.log probably doesn't contain as much info as you'd like, but I'll include it anyway so you can see problems I had while trying to get it up and running.
