You don't need to run NVIDIA's binary drivers if you have XFree86 4.3.0. The "nv" driver in 4.3.0 should work with that combo. And you don't need to install XFree86 4.3.0 if you are using NVIDIA's binary drivers. Those will work with the version of XFree86 that came with RedHat 8. While you can do both: install 4.3.0 and use NVIDIA's binary drivers, only one of those should be needed to get a working server.
