Hi ;
I have two partition in my hard disk one for windows XP and the other for redhat 9. All of them are working perfectly.
However, recently I installed VMware Workstation in my XP partition and I installed redhat 9 in it but I can't get x server to work. When I start X it prompts a message to me saying:
Fatal server error:
No screen found
X10 : fatal 10 error 104 (connection reset by peer) on X server":0.0"
After 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
When I type init 5 in a command line it prompts this message:
* ddcorobe returned bogus values:
ID: None
Name: None
HorizSync: None
VertSync: None
Couldn't start X server, trying with a fresh configuration
* ddcprobe returned bogus values:
ID: None
Name: None
HorizSync: None
VertSync: None
Trying with card: Unsupported VGA compatible
I tried to access the redhat 9 partition in my hard disk using the VMware Workstation it works in a command line. unfortunately when I start x it prompts the same message. I tried to open the /etc/X11/XF86Config but it say that there are no such file or directory.
I don't know what the problem is because when I boot to redhat 9 the X server runs correctly. I attached the error message in this email.
I need your help.
I appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
