Go to 
the Xfree86 and download the cut and paste utility they have on the page there. 
It allows X and Win to share the same scratchpad.

How do I persuade my 
  XFree86 (Cygwin version) to cut and paste with my MSWindows apps?  
  C&P within X is working just fine, but there seems to be no way to get the 
  data in or out to the MSWindows hosting OS.
