This looks like you didn't install any font packages. but AFAIK you need
the fixed fonts as minimum. Try "apt-get install xfonts-base
xfonts-100dpi xfonts-75dpi". That should install them. Even if you use
xfs for fonts you need the font-files.

this looks like you don't have any mouse configured? Don't you have one?
Then using X will be a pity, but try the Option "AllowMouseOpenFail"
