Thank you sir! This fixed zee problem. I added /dev/sysmouse to my XConfig in the mouse variable section. I installed KDE from sysinstall which downloaded via FTP. Made sure startkde was in my xinitrc. startx All loads up OK. I did receive an error about the sound initialization not working, any suggestions? On a side note, are there any tutorials that you know that would enable me to install Gnome and have the choice of starting Gnome or KDE?
