For your mouse I would try Option "Protocol" "Auto" or Option "Protocol" "usb" do not forget that *nix are case dependant... for your graphic card, possibly the closed source Nvidia drivers might be better (see their site) you could also attempt removing all mention of chipset and card in the device section and seing which default X will select...
