I tried so many time to have my wheel mouse working
when I install XFree manually. In fact, I never have
succesfull result.
So I've installed mandrake with full install(well, 2.5
gig, anyway), I tested the wheelmouse, which was
working properly. I did the same opperation with SuSE.
After that, I've installed slackware with no X, I
installed it, same thing for my NVidia drivers. By
now, everything working perfectly, then I've checked
my backup /etc/X11/XF86Config and I added in the <
Section "InputDevice" > section the following line,
which was in my mandrake backup and also in my SuSE
backup :
Option "ButtonNumber" "5"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
restart X
well, still get no wheelmouse
Is there someone who can help me or explain my why
this is working with other pre-install distro but not
when you do it by yourself?
By the way, I've tried also the way that it is
explain in the xfree documentation...
