Running X applications on a Linux box from a Sun Solaris system

Folks:

I have a customer who is attempting to use a couple of Red Hat Linux boxes to
run X applications from a Sun Solaris system.

On the Linux systems we are using X or Xwrapper commands with a -query option in
order to login to the Solaris host.

Almost every FIRST time, when we enter the User ID and Password into the GUI
Solaris login screen, the login applications start displaying then the screen
goes blank and the GUI Solaris login screen displays again. If we re-enter the
User-ID and Password then everything comes up normal.

We have also found that if we get logged into the Solaris system from one Linux
box and attempt to login to the same Solaris system using the same User ID but
from a different Linux box, both Linux systems go back to the GUI Solaris login
screen.

They tell me that they never see any of the above when they use their old
Tektronix X-stations.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
