Doing a google search "site:xfree86 displayheight480", I found out that this was added (experimentally) to support the Libretto's screen. I will give it a try on my Sony and see what it does. Searching through the online man pages, I also found a reference to an option in the Monitors section. The option is 'DisplaySize width height' with width and height in millimeters. If Plan A doesn't work, I think I will try this. I wonder how exact I need to be? There may also be a possibility of using a "Modeline" option. Perhaps with this option I could feed XFree86 one of the 3.x XF86Config modelines I found on the web. ----- Original Message ----- From: Victor Roberts <Vic@robertsresearchinc.com> Date: Thursday, August 15, 2002 3:29 pm Subject: RE: Configuring X for 8.9 inch Laptop Display > I'm not sure, but it seems like it would. > > Vic Roberts > > -----Original Message----- > From: newbie-admin@XFree86.Org [mailto:newbie-admin@XFree86.Org]On > Behalf Of theodore.schulze@us.army.mil > Sent: Thursday, August 15, 2002 3:34 AM > To: newbie@XFree86.Org > Subject: Re: Configuring X for 8.9 inch Laptop Display > > > I think I may have answered my own question.
