Have you attempted to go through the setup process using /stand/sysinstall to see if the X configuration gui comes up correct? Also was this a fresh install or did you do an upgrade install? If upgraded did you just cvsup the system and rebuild the source tree? Or did you do the bootdisk upgrade install. If you cvsup'd and rebuilt the source tree, did you run mergemaster on the box to insure to merge in changes to system configurations? There is a lot of information lacking in your post to be able to help you troubleshoot this problem. The last line of the log doesn't help at all.
