You really need to check out www.xfree86.org -- there they explain (in 
detail) what files you need to download, where to get them, and what to 
do with them once you have them.  Also, Google is a friend.  Try 
XFree86-4 set up, or something like that, and I'm sure you'll find more 
material than you could possibly need (in fact, I just tried it, and there 
are at least 5 good references on the first page).  I hope this helps.
