Here's what happens when I try to run xawtv: % xawtv This is xawtv-3.73, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.18-4) can't open /dev/video0: No such device v4l2: open /dev/video0: No such device v4l: open /dev/video0: No such device no video grabber device available Here's what happens when I try to run Zapping (another TV program): main.c(378)[main] Sorry, but "/dev/video0" could not be opened: [tveng.c] tveng_attach_device (line 196) check() failed: The device cannot be attached to any controller My current setup is RedHat 7.3 (Gnome desktop) with an ATI All-in-wonder Radeon 32M AGP video card with a philips dvi flat pannel display. I am trying to be able to watch and record tv. So far, I've tried to install avview, ffmpeg, alsa, ati.2, and I think I installed them correctly. I'm pretty new to linux though, so, I'm not sure. I don't know how to recompile the kernel yet. I've been following the documentation on this site: http://gatos.sourceforge.net/ pretty much, I've been going step by step, but I also can't run avview (when I try to run avview.scp, it gives me this: $ ./avview.scp bash: ./avview.scp: ./avview_shell: bad interpreter: No such file or directory $ avview.scp bash: avview.scp: command not found ) I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I can't run the kwintv either, but I don't know if that's because I'm in Gnome. Can anyone help me? Thanks __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
