Thanks for the hint! I found several discussions of similar (or same)
topic in the Xpert mailing list (about February/March). In fact, it seems
to be the glibc compiled by the unpatched gcc 2.95.3.

I tried to recompile glibc (2.2.5) with gcc 3.1 meanwhile, but there I
got stuck since not all tests passed successfully after the build.
And installing glibc without all tests passed is still a bit to
experimental for me ;-)
Seems like I'll have to get that patched gcc 2.95.3 (from cvs)...
