[Newbie]Spontaneous selection on Sony Vaio 505 w/ XFree4.2.0 & Suse 8

I've figured out the problem of spontaneous selection that I previously
posted. I haven't figured out the solution.

As it turns out, the trackpad on the Sony 505 supports a "tap" to
select, unbeknownst to me. When running under XFree 4.2.0, the
absolute *slightest* brush causes a selection. So when I'm typing, if
my thumb touches the pad at all, it causes a selection. Under windows,
the threshold was so much higher that I frankly didn't even know about
the feature.

Any ideas on an option that will move up this threshold?
Right now I'm:

Section "InputDevice"
    Driver "mouse"
    Identifier "Mouse[1]"
    Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
    Option "Emulate3Buttons" "on"
    Option "Name" "Autodetection"
    Option "Protocol" "ps/2"
    Option "Vendor" "Sysp"
EndSection
