-or-
# [editor of choice] .xinitrc
if file is empty add: #!/bin/sh
startkde
if not empty go to the last line 'exec'-<program>-and add the 'startkde'
there.

I have 'drake 7.2 on one box and the path is: /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc
where I find:
.............................................................
#!/bin/sh
#(c) 2000 MandrakeSoft

exec /etc/X11/Xsession $*
.............................................................

which doesnt tell me much cause I'm not a 'garoo........but it mite help
kenn
