Hi, I'm having trouble running X on my Laptop. Here are the specs for my Laptop and version of Linux I'm trying to fully install: System: Compaq Presario 1720US Operating System: RedHat 7.2 Processor: PIII 1Ghz Memory: 256 MB HD: 20 GB Video: info ATI RageTM Mobility 128 hardware-accelerated 3D Graphics 2X AGP Mobility M1 3D Graphics 8 MB dedicated video memory 2X AGP for enhanced video, graphics and 3D performance Maximum internal resolution of up to 1024 x 768 x 16M; with external monitor _ 1280 x 1024 non interlaced 24-bit color provides up to 16M brilliant colors Video player (AVI, MPEG2 and others) S-Video TV-Out MPEG2 full-motion video playback Display: 14.1-inch color TFT Display Compaq does not supply the vertical, or horizontal refresh rates on their website. Could someone send the refresh rates for my monitor? It looks like "XF86Config" needs exact information about my monitor, probably because X does not want to destroy my monitor.
