[Newbie]How to generate a specific screen dimension

Hi,

I'm trying to build a display resolution of 852 x 480
for a plasma screen display. The screen will *supposedly*
handle any sync rate. Higher resolutions like 1024 by 768
are automatically scaled. What I'd like to do is build
a modeline that exactly matches the display (or multiple
of) without the screen stretching/scaling my videou output.
The screen is attached to an embedded PC with an onboard
ct9000 and only 2 meg of ram. Is there a formula I can use
to predetermine the screen dimensions? Also the video card
can be changed to any other if that helps.

TIA, TW
