Then you have no /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.a ?  Hmmm. 
Wonder where it came from.  I installed 4.2.0 from the binaries on
ftp.xfree86.org over 4.1.0 which I probably installed as a port or
package from freebsd.org.  I'd bet it came with 4.2.0, since it's dated
Jan 19.
