I want, but I can't seem to get images incorporated into it. I've seen the
example classes posted to a similar question on this list, but they're all
far to complex for what I need to do.

Can anyone help please?

Embedding images of HTML message is the same message is complex. You need to use multipart/related message bodies. Using this existing classes to do it is the simplest way to go.

You may want to try this class. It includes an example of how to send HTML messages with embedded images.
