Congratulations on getting this going. However, it still needs some tuning. I am running SimCity 4 Rush Hour (fully updated) in hardware mode on Ubuntu 11.10 with a wide screen setup. The game loads and runs, or rather walks in hardware operations mode. The frame rate is far too slow, and the only thing I see different is the multibuffer warning is missing from the console log. FYI here is my current log: fixme:system:SystemParametersInfoW Unimplemented action: 94 (SPI_GETMOUSETRAILS) fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x32efa4,0x00000000), stub! fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x32eef0,0x00000000), stub! fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x32f5a8,0x00000000), stub! fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x32f2d0,0x00000000), stub! fixme:alsa:AudioClient_GetMixFormat Don't know what to do with 32 channels, pretending there's only 2 channels fixme:alsa:AudioClient_GetMixFormat Don't know what to do with 10000 channels, pretending there's only 2 channels fixme:alsa:AudioClient_GetMixFormat Don't know what to do with 10000 channels, pretending there's only 2 channels fixme:alsa:AudioClient_GetMixFormat Don't know what to do with 10000 channels, pretending there's only 2 channels fixme:alsa:AudioClient_GetMixFormat Don't know what to do with 32 channels, pretending there's only 2 channels fixme:alsa:AudioClient_GetMixFormat Don't know what to do with 10000 channels, pretending there's only 2 channels fixme:alsa:AudioClient_GetMixFormat Don't know what to do with 10000 channels, pretending there's only 2 channels fixme:alsa:AudioClient_GetMixFormat Don't know what to do with 10000 channels, pretending there's only 2 channels fixme:alsa:AudioClient_GetMixFormat Don't know what to do with 10000 channels, pretending there's only 2 channels fixme:d3d_surface:wined3d_surface_blt Can't handle WINEDDBLT_ASYNC flag. fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x32f524,0x00000000), stub! fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x32f524,0x00000000), stub! fixme:d3d:resource_check_usage Unhandled usage flags 0x8. fixme:imm:ImmGetOpenStatus (0x132d20): semi-stub fixme:imm:ImmReleaseContext (0x20020, 0x132d20): stub err:d3d:wined3d_device_uninit_3d Something is still holding a reference to depth/stencil buffer 0x1d6120. Also of note is that something has gone strange in the handling of the ALSA sound system, as I didn't know there were 10,000 channels. This is not a problem because I have no sound at all any more. I don't care. I suspect running this in DVI isn't helping, but it does run without any real problem except the lousy frame rate.
