1. You have a problem that is beyond the scope of this project if flipping the executable bit does not stay set (that is if you are trying to install from your hard drive.)

2. You were told that Hardware Drivers ARE NOT supported under Wine. However, there is partial USB support available if you are willing to build Wine. Please look at the USB page on the Wine Wiki for further information. http://wiki.winehq.org/USB
