XQuartz is MUCH better than Apple's version of X11, you should really go with it. http://xquartz.macosforge.org/ Wine 1.2.2 is rather old.. why not try 1.3.22? OSX 10.6.4 is missing some updates to graphics drivers that helps a lot, you should really run Software Update and get everything up through 10.6.7 ... and even 10.6.8 is in testing and out soon.
