That was not due to any problem with wine, I'm the idiot that typed Code: rm -rf $HOME/.wine wrong where I ended up putting a space between "HOME/" and ".wine" I'm up and running again now though and have taken peoples advise to move home to a separate partition. Next step is to get wine installed.
